One in four. That's not a statistic — that's somebody you know.
Lancashire Mind is the local mental-health charity working across our county to make sure no one faces a mental-health problem alone. They run helplines, run group-work in schools, run training in workplaces, run wellbeing centres in towns where there's nothing else.
River Technologies is a family-run business from Preston. We're not a faceless donor. We're a team of engineers, account managers and installers, most of whom have either looked after their own mental health or walked alongside someone who has. We're proud to champion the cause that Lancashire Mind serves — and we'd love you to spend a day on the course with us doing the same.

A relaxed format — competitive enough to keep things interesting, friendly enough that nobody's checking your handicap at the bar. Here's how Monday 17th August will run.
Registration
Check in at the clubhouse. Bacon rolls, coffee, and a chance to meet your hole sponsor before the off.
Shotgun start
All teams tee off at once from their sponsored hole. Texas scramble format — pick the best shot, both play from there.
Food & drink
Lancashire hotpot back at the clubhouse. Cash bar open. Last-hole stories swapped.
Prizes & presentation
Winners announced. Lancashire Mind take the floor to tell us where the money goes.

Two players, one entry. Hole sponsorship rolled in as standard — the hole you tee off on carries your team's name (or your company's, if you'd rather).

Do I need to be a member at Leyland to play?
No — the club is hosting us for the day, all teams welcome. You don't need a CONGU handicap either.
What if I don't have a playing partner?
Email Jay and we'll pair you up. We always have a few solo players looking for a second.
Can I sponsor a hole without playing?
Yes. Get in touch directly — £200 puts your name/logo on a tee marker even if you can't make the day.
What if it rains?
This is Lancashire — it might. We play unless the course is closed. If we're rained off, your entry rolls to a rearranged date and the food still happens.
How is the money handled?
Entry fees cover green fees, food, prizes and admin. Every penny raised through donations, the raffle, the auction and hole sponsorship beyond the team entry goes directly to Lancashire Mind via their registered charity account.
Is this a corporate event?
It's open to anyone — individuals, mates, and companies all welcome. Hole sponsorship is rolled into your team entry; companies can pay through their corporate giving budget.
